Synopsis Leading to Mystery and Action

Once in the cargo hold of the lower level, our heros split their resources. Castille remained on watch by the entranceway while Kaspar snuck past an open hatch leading the the upper levels. Guards had been posted up above, but Kaspar rolled well. Then again, after searching through whatever crates were in the open, he found only a locked door on the opposite wall. The door was magically guarded, and so Castille joined Kaspar. A few close calls finally prompted Castille to cast invisibility; but in the end the locks posed little threat.

Once inside the heavily trapped room, Kaspar and Castille were amazed to find, literally, a wall of dragonshards worth well over any amount they could imagine. Opposite the dragonshards were other treasures of great value, none of which either hero so much as touched -- for fear of alarm and retribution.

And so they snuck back outside the cargo hold. Castille managed to close the magically guarded door. He was unable to replace the locks, but made it look as if a legitimate guard had used his key and left it unattended.

Travelling upstairs, Kaspar snuck ahead undetected. But as Castille climbed the stairs, still under the cover of invisibility, he noticed a cabin door opening. And then a knife...
